Polop de la Marina
Polop de la Marina is a small but very picturesque village on the Costa Blanca, in the province of Alicante, 10-15 km from the Benidorm coast.
The town lies at the foot of the Monte Ponoig sierra, which makes it picturesque and sheltered from the winds. The Polop river crosses the centre and creates a small natural oasis with green areas.
Polop has a rich medieval heritage: its old town preserves narrow streets, whitewashed houses, small squares and fountains such as the Fuente de los Chorros.
Its main historical attraction is the Castle of Polop, remains of a 12th-century Moorish fortress, together with the church of San Pedro Apóstol, heart of the old town.
Polop is not as crowded as Benidorm and offers a quiet atmosphere and picturesque views: local fairs and festivals with authentic Spanish flavour without crowds.
It is a place where life follows the rhythm of nature, and the comforts of the modern world are always close.
Every property and every situation is unique.
